    Supports passage of a Kentucky bill to pay survivor benefits to the same-sex partners of LGBT people. OPPOSE
  2. COMMONWEALTH BENEFITS FOR SAME-SEX COUPLES
    Supports extending benefits, rights, privileges and responsibilities offered by the Commonwealth to same-sex couples and their children provided the partnership meets certain standards of commitment mandated by the Commonwealth. OPPOSE
  3. CIVIL UNIONS
    Supports repealing Kentucky’s 2004 Constitutional Amendment disallowing civil unions for same-sex couples. OPPOSE
  4. DOMESTIC PARTNER BENEFITS AT KENTUCKY UNIVERSITIES
    Supports allowing the Board of Regents (as appointed by the Governor) at each university to decide whether to offer same-sex domestic partner benefits without interference from the Kentucky House of Representatives or Senate. OPPOSE

    Supports passage of a Kentucky bill that gives authority to the Kentucky State Police and/or the Kentucky Bureau of Investigation to investigate and prosecute violent crimes motivated by bias against the victim because of their sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or disability. SUPPORT
  10. HOSPITAL VISITATION RIGHTS
    Supports passage of a Kentucky bill allowing anyone 18 and older to designate a non-blood relative as having hospital room access. OPPOSE

    2. Supports local “home rule,” allowing political subdivisions of the Commonwealth to adopt their own non-discrimination laws (such as the laws currently in place in Covington, Lexington, and Louisville protecting LGBT citizens from discrimination). OPPOSE
  12. SEX EDUCATION
    Supports passage of a Kentucky bill to channel money to school districts that choose to teach comprehensive and age-appropriate sex education for Kentucky’s students that includes science-based prevention methods (against pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases). OPPOSE
